We were musing about a space where we could display the creative efforts of our studios with features from our artist family and community. Near our studios on a lake in New England, a large rock sits just a few feet offshore. While searching for a name for the gallery, we discovered that one Finnish word for rock is kari. Robert suggested the name as a nod to my heritage—especially fitting since our own kari rests near the wood-burning sauna that still stands on the property. So Kari Gallery it is.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, and is often surprising. As a family of artists and creators, we are involved in all sorts of projects. Photography, drawing, sculpture, painting, prints, art to wear, art to admire, art for living - if it can be imagined, we’re creating it or searching for a way to express it.

With this site, we welcome you to an online gallery of imaginings. We hope you will find something that will speak to you or that you feel will speak to a special person in your life.

Sondra & Robert
